The innovative tunable diaphragm technology, developed by 3M, enables clinicians to easily switch between high and low frequency sounds simply by adjusting the pressure applied to the chestpiece—light pressure for low frequencies and firmer pressure for higher frequencies. This efficient design allows healthcare providers to focus on patient assessment while ensuring patient comfort through the non-chill diaphragm and rim.
The teardrop-shaped chestpiece facilitates easier positioning under blood pressure cuffs and around bandages, optimizing auscultation in various clinical scenarios. Additionally, the headset tension can be easily adjusted for a comfortable fit by squeezing or pulling apart the eartubes, ensuring optimal alignment with the ear canals.

1. Insert the Stethoscope in Your Ears: Orient the eartips toward your nose.
2. Customize Headset Tension for Comfort and Sound Quality: Adjust the eartubes by pulling them apart or squeezing them together.
3. Select the Active Side of the Chestpiece: The stem includes a mark that designates the acoustically active side. Rotate the chestpiece to switch between active sides.
4. Utilize the larger chestpiece for adult patients and the smaller side for pediatric or slender patients, bandaged areas, or carotid assessment.
