Directions

  1. Prepare the lancet device
  2. Choose a finger for the blood sample. It's often recommended to use the side of your fingertip, as it's less sensitive. Wash your hands with soap and warm water to clean the area. Dry your hands thoroughly.
  3. Prick your finger
  4. Prepare the test strip: Take out a test strip from its container.
  5. Apply blood to the test strip: Touch the edge of the test strip to the drop of blood on your finger. Be careful not to touch the top of the test strip where the sensors are located.
  6. Wait for the reading
  7. View the result: After a few seconds, the meter will display your blood glucose level on its screen.
  8. Dispose of materials: Safely dispose of the used lancet and test strip according to your local regulations.
  9. Wash your hands again with soap and warm water.

No — BeHealthy test strips are only compatible with the BeHealthy glucometer. Using strips from other brands (or vice versa) will give inaccurate readings. Always use the matching strips for your specific meter model.

How long do the test strips last once opened? ▼
Once the vial is opened, use strips within 3 months regardless of the printed expiry date. Always keep the cap tightly closed immediately after removing a strip, store in a cool dry place, and avoid humid areas like bathrooms or areas with direct sunlight.

What is a normal blood sugar level? ▼
Based on Philippine Society of Endocrinology guidelines:

• Normal fasting: 70–99 mg/dL
• Pre-diabetic: 100–125 mg/dL — lifestyle changes recommended
• Diabetic: 126 mg/dL or above on two separate tests
• 2 hours after eating (normal): Below 140 mg/dL
