Both the adult and pediatric sides feature tunable diaphragm technology — apply light pressure for low-frequency sounds (S3 gallops, murmurs), firm pressure for high-frequency sounds (breath sounds, bowel sounds). The pediatric side converts to an open bell by removing the diaphragm and attaching the included non-chill bell sleeve — giving you full diagnostic range in a single instrument.

The dual-lumen single tube eliminates the rubbing noise of traditional double tubes, delivering cleaner sound transmission. Next-generation tubing resists skin oils, alcohol, and staining, holds its shape after being pocketed, and is latex-free with no phthalate plasticizers.

Directions

1. Insert the Stethoscope in Your Ears: Orient the eartips toward your nose.
2. Customize Headset Tension for Comfort and Sound Quality: Adjust the eartubes by pulling them apart or squeezing them together.
3. Select the Active Side of the Chestpiece: The stem includes a mark that designates the acoustically active side. Rotate the chestpiece to switch between active sides.
4. Utilize the larger chestpiece for adult patients and the smaller side for pediatric or slender patients, bandaged areas, or carotid assessment.
